We had the opportunity to go to New York to visit Jonathan's family in September. Jonathan's parents drove down here, stayed the night with us and then we all drove back together. We had told the kids that we would be driving for 3 days but I don't really think they understood exactly how long it was. An hour into the trip Emily started asking if we were there yet...... it made for a really long three days!! Overall they both did really good though! We had packed lots of new toys and movies for them and we to out and ran around at rest stops.
A really cool bridge we went over on the way there. I think it was in St. Louis Missouri.
Once we got there there kids loved playing outside. Nana and Grampa had a play set, a teeter totter and cars. And they all loved sitting on Grampa and Nana's motorcycle.
One of the days we went to the Buffalo Zoo. Emily loved seeing all the animals, but I think that Jackson had more fun just pushing the stroller.
Their first time on a Merry-go-round!! They both loved it and did not want to get off!
We went to a Bounce place in New York. The kids got an al day pass and there were lots of different bounce houses with slides and obstacle courses, and a climbing wall. Emily loved it!!
This is pretty much where Jackson hung out the whole time!! He played in a few of the bounce houses but I don't think he liked the loud noise from the air being blown into them.
One of the days we went to Alamagorda State Park. They had these huge rocks called Thunder Rocks. The kids loved it!

And the kids spent lots of time baking with Nana while we were there. They got to bake banana bread and a couple of cakes.
